Use case
SMS lead flow scheduling for call centres
- Set up an automated SMS marketing campaign to generate leads for a call centre that operates the following hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8am to 5pm
Friday: 8am to 12pm
Saturday: closed
Sunday: closed
On Mondays, the campaign should start generating leads only at 12pm to allow the call centre to dial the leads generated over the weekend first.
The call centre works half day on Fridays, so the campaign should generate less leads that day.
Step 1: Set up a new campaign
- Name your campaign
- Add your targeting
- Add your copy
Step 2: Set up your webhooks This is to make sure your opt-in leads are posted to your call-centre. Visit webhooks for guidance on setting up webhooks.
Step 3: Set up campaign schedule Navigate to Campaign: Automation and set up your first Recurring Send as follows:
- Monday
- Frequency: Weekly
- Hours: 12
- Day of Week: Monday
- Result: the campaign will begin to send out your SMS marketing copy to 10K max. contacts every Monday at 12pm.
- Note: if you want to do one more send at 3pm, simply hit the “Plus” button, repeat the steps above and type in 15 under Hours
- Repeat the same steps to set up Recurring Sends for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, choosing a time that will suit your call centre, or use our random time feature.
- In order to generate less leads on Friday, we suggest you decrease your standard Max Distribution by half. I.e. from 10K to 5K using the example above.
- Leave out Saturdays and Sundays if you don’t want to schedule Recurring Sends for these days.
